Zoe's

Hi, I'm Zoe

The baker, recipe-tester, and dishwasher behind the Emporium.

Baking ingredients laid out on a table

My story

I'm Zoe, a passionate home baker who fell head-over-heels for the smell of cookies in the oven and never looked back. What started as a fun way to unwind became a real creative outlet — and eventually, this little emporium.

I love making cookies, flan, cupcakes, and all kinds of comforting homemade desserts. There's something magical about turning a few humble pantry staples into something that makes people smile. Baking is my way of saying "I'm thinking of you," one batch at a time.

Zoe's Baking Emporiumis where I share the recipes I've put together from classic, trusted ratios, along with the tips and stories I've picked up (often the hard way). Whether you're brand new to baking or a seasoned pro, I hope you find something here that makes you want to preheat the oven.

My baking philosophy

Bake for joy

Baking should feel good, not stressful. A slightly lopsided cake made with love beats a perfect one made in a panic.

Keep it approachable

No obscure ingredients or fussy techniques unless they truly earn their place. Real recipes for real kitchens.

My top baking tips

Small habits that make a big difference.

  • 1.Read the whole recipe before you start — twice for anything new.
  • 2.Weigh your flour, or at least spoon and level it. It's the #1 fix for dry bakes.
  • 3.Room-temperature butter and eggs make smoother, more even batters.
  • 4.Your oven probably lies — a $10 oven thermometer is the best baking upgrade.
  • 5.Underbake cookies slightly; they finish setting on the hot pan.
  • 6.Taste as you go, and write notes on what you'd change next time.
