  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 vanilla bean, scraped (or 2 tsp vanilla)
  • 1/2 cup whole milk

Honey buttercream

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

    Heat the oven to 350°F and line a 12-cup tin with liners.

    Whisk the flour, baking powder, and salt together.

    Cream the butter and sugar, then beat in the honey, eggs, and vanilla.

    Add the dry ingredients alternately with the milk, mixing just until combined.

    Divide among the liners and bake 16–19 minutes. Cool completely.

    Beat the frosting ingredients until fluffy and pipe onto the cupcakes.
