
Strawberry Scones

- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
- 1 cup diced fresh strawberries
- 2/3 cup cold heavy cream
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Glaze
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp milk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
Instructions

Heat the oven to 400°F and line a sheet with parchment.

Whisk the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt together.

Cut in the cold butter until pea-sized, then toss in the strawberries.

Whisk the cream, egg, and vanilla, then stir into the flour just until a shaggy dough forms.

Pat into a 1-inch-thick disk, cut into 8 wedges, and place on the sheet.

Bake 18–22 minutes, until golden. Cool, then drizzle with the glaze.
